Another Round Of Rain Possible For Monday

Over five inches of rain fell in parts of Lexington on Sunday, creating localized flooding issues. More rain showers and thunderstorms are possible for the start of the work week.
Midnight Update:  Rain showers with heavy rainfall are moving back into the Lexington Metro area just before midnight, with isolated rain possible through the early morning hours of Monday, and patchy dense fog.  Monday morning low temperatures will start off around 69 degrees, with rain showers increasing throughout the day and an afternoon high temperature of 82 degrees.  Lingering rain showers are possible for Tuesday, with drier weather returning Wednesday through the rest of the week, with upper 70s to lower 80s.

Scattered rain showers with heavy downpours will continue through early tonight, with isolated rain possible overnight with patchy dense fog.  Another round of rain with localized heavy rainfall will be possible on Monday, with rain chances lingering into Tuesday.  Drier and pleasant weather returns Wednesday through the rest of the work week.

TONIGHT:  Scattered rain showers with localized flooding will be possible through early tonight, with isolated rain overnight and patchy dense fog.  Overnight low temperatures will be around 69 degrees.

MONDAY:  Mostly cloudy skies will continue along with scattered rain showers for Monday.  Once again, localized flooding may occur with slow moving rain showers and thunderstorms.  Monday will remain warm and muggy, with a high of 82 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT:  Rain showers will be possible Monday night as a cold front approaches and moves through Kentucky Monday night into Tuesday.  Overnight low temperatures will be around 67 degrees.

TUESDAY:  Lingering scattered rain showers will be possible for Tuesday, yet not as widespread or heavy.  Tuesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 80 degrees.

WEDNESDAY:  Drier weather and more sunshine return for Wednesday, with partly cloudy skies and high temperatures around 79 degrees.

THURSDAY:  After some morning fog, Thursday afternoon will feature mostly sunny skies with a high of 81 degrees.

FRIDAY:  Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy for Friday, with high of 84 degrees.

WEEKEND:  Temperatures will be in the mid 80s next weekend, with partly cloudy skies, and a slight chance for a few isolated rain showers.
