Warmer Temperatures This Weekend With Thunderstorms

The heat and humidity will increase this weekend, with isolated thunderstorms Saturday, and scattered thunderstorms for Sunday. Cooler temperatures return for early next week.
Warmer temperatures return for the weekend, with muggy conditions as well.  There is the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms to develop late Saturday and again for Sunday afternoon and evening.  The Storm Prediction Center has far Northern Kentucky under an enhanced risk for severe weather on Saturday, and all of Central and Eastern Kentucky are under an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms for Sunday. 

SATURDAY:  Our weekend will start off with partly to mostly cloudy skies with high temperatures around 89 degrees, and a chance for a few thunderstorms. The best chance for thunderstorms to develop on Saturday, looks to be along and north of I-64.

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Skies will remain mostly cloudy for Saturday night, with the chance for some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, as overnight low temperatures fall to 71 degrees.

SUNDAY: A better chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day Sunday, with mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures around 87 degrees.

NEXT WEEK:  Another round of cooler air returns early next week, with high temperatures in the upper 70s for Monday, and mid to upper 70s for Tuesday and Wednesday.  A few rain showers will be possible for Monday, with mostly sunny skies for Tuesday and Wednesday.
