Temperatures will fall into the single digits overnight, with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures around 35 degrees Thursday afternoon.
Midnight Update:  Skies will remain clear through your morning hours of Thursday, and into your afternoon.  We'll have a frigid start to your Thursday with morning low temperatures around 9 degrees, with afternoon high temperatures around 35 degrees.  Based on the latest weather data coming in, Friday's precipitation looks to be isolated, with the best chance for a little rain Friday evening and Friday night for areas west of I-75.  Overall, most of us stay dry for Friday.  There will be a chance for some scattered rain showers on Saturday, with the best chance for rain Saturday evening into Saturday night as a cold front approaches the region.  Saturday high temperatures will be around 49 degrees, yet temperatures will fall to around 30 degrees by Sunday morning, with a transition to a wintry mix of rain, sleet, and snow across the region early Sunday.  Sunday will start off with a wintry mix, with diminishing precipitation through the afternoon hours.  At this time, accumulations with any wintry precipitation looks to be light on Sunday, with a dusting to 1" possible, mainly for areas north of I-64.

Frigid temperatures will continue overnight, with temperatures getting above freezing for Thursday afternoon. The “warming” trend continues from Friday into Saturday, with the chance for rain and wintry precipitation this weekend and next week.

TONIGHT: Temperatures will fall to around 9 degrees, with mostly clear skies.

THURSDAY: High temperatures get above freezing Thursday afternoon, with mostly to partly sunny skies and a high of 35 degrees. There will be a steady southerly breeze Thursday, which will give us wind chills in the 20s.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Clouds return to the region, giving us mostly cloudy skies, with overnight low temperatures around 25 degrees.

FRIDAY: Temperatures get a little milder for Friday, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 40 degrees. There will be a chance for a little late day rain showers, possibly mixed with some snow or sleet by late in the day.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Cloudy skies will continue with the chance for a few rain showers. Overnight low temperatures will be around 35 degrees by daybreak Saturday.

SATURDAY: Cloudy skies will continue with the chance for scattered rain showers during the day. The best chance for rain looks to be across the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky, as a stalled cold front will be lingering to our northwest. Saturday will be our warmest day of the extended forecast, with a high of 49 degrees.

SUNDAY: A cold front will move through Saturday night into early Sunday, bringing colder air to the region and a better chance for a wintry mix. More rain showers look to develop Saturday night, with a transition to freezing rain, sleet, and snow early Sunday morning. Sunday morning low temperatures will be around 30 degrees, with an afternoon high of 36 degrees. The wintry mix looks to diminish through Sunday afternoon.

MONDAY: Another weather disturbance will approach the region and give us the chance for a wintry mix and snow on Monday, with a high of 34 degrees.

TUESDAY – THURSDAY: Active weather continue for midweek next week, with some weather models showing a potent winter storm for Kentucky. At this point, Tuesday looks to have freezing rain and rain, which will transition to snow for Wednesday. High temperatures will be around 35 degrees Tuesday and 33 degrees on Wednesday.
