Hot & Humid Tuesday With Strong Storms Possible

Temperatures will be back to around 91 degrees on Tuesday, with heat indices around 100 degrees. The Storm Prediction Center has most of Kentucky under an enhanced risk for strong to severe thunderstorms on Tuesday.
Midnight Update:  Skies have remained mostly clear through early tonight.  Some patchy fog and a few clouds will be possible through the early morning hours of Tuesday.  Skies will be partly sunny for Tuesday, with an afternoon high of 91 degrees, and a heat index around 100 degrees.  A few thunderstorms will be possible for Tuesday, and any thunderstorm that develops may become strong to severe, with gusty winds the biggest threat.  The chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Wednesday, with an afternoon high of 87 degrees.  Temperatures get back in the lower 80s Thursday through Saturday.  July 4th looks to be mostly sunny with a high of 82 degrees!

The heat and humidity will be the big weather story for early this week, with rain and thunderstorm chances through midweek.  Sunny skies and pleasant conditions return for the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend.

TONIGHT:  An isolated rain shower will be possible tonight, with partly cloudy skies and some patchy fog possible overnight.  Overnight low temperatures will be around 71 degrees, with muggy conditions.

TUESDAY:  Temperatures will top out around 91 degrees for Tuesday afternoon, with the heat index around 100 degrees.  Skies will be partly cloudy for Tuesday, with a few scattered thunderstorms developing.  The Storm Prediction Center had most of Kentucky under an enhanced risk for strong to severe thunderstorms on Tuesday, with gusty winds the biggest threat.

TUESDAY NIGHT:  A few isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday night, with overnight low temperatures around 70 degrees.

WEDNESDAY:  We will have partly to mostly cloudy skies for Wednesday, with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms possible.  Wednesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 87 degrees.  A cold front will move through Kentucky late Wednesday into early Thursday.

THURSDAY:  We will have a little break with the summer heat Thursday through Saturday, with temperatures around 81 degrees Thursday afternoon.  There will be a chance for a few rain showers on Thursday, with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

FRIDAY:  We will have a beautiful 4th of July with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures around 82 degrees.

WEEKEND:  The pleasant conditions will continue for your 4th of July holiday weekend, with highs in the low to mid 80s for Saturday and Sunday, with partly sunny skies.

NEXT WEEK:  Temperatures will be back to the upper 80s for early next week, with the chance for a few rain showers and thunderstorms.
