Midnight Update:  Clouds have not increased as much as weather models have been showing, and the latest weather model updates this evening, have diminished the rain chances for Wednesday; yet we can still expect to have scattered rain showers possible.  Temperatures will remain mild for Wednesday.  After morning low temperatures around 60 degrees, Wednesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 76 degrees.

One week ago, we were dealing with low temperatures in the 70s and highs of 90 degrees. Today has felt very comfortable, with a high of 77 degrees in Lexington. We will have one more mild day (yet more humid), before a slight warm-up for Thursday and Friday. Rain chances will return for Wednesday, with lingering rain chances into the beginning of the weekend.

TONIGHT: We will have increasing clouds tonight with a mild overnight low temperature of 60 degrees.

WEDNESAY: Scattered rain showers and mostly cloudy skies will be around for Wednesday, with a high of 76 degrees. More Gulf moisture will be brought back into the region beginning on Wednesday, which will make the air feel a little more humid.

THURSDAY: Temperatures will be warmer on Thursday, with a high of 81 degrees, and the chance for an isolated rain shower or thunderstorm. Skies will generally be partly sunny.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY: Clouds will increase throughout the day Friday, as a cold front approaches the region by late in the day. Friday high temperatures will be around 82 degrees, which will also be our warmest day of the week. The chance for rain will also increase for late Friday into Saturday as a cold front approaches Friday, and moves through on Saturday. Saturday will feature mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers, with a high of 77 degrees.

SUNDAY: Our first official day of fall is this Sunday, September 22nd, with partly sunny skies and a high of 75 degrees.

NEXT WEEK: Temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 70s for next week, with generally partly sunny skies.
