Afternoon Update:

Off & on snow showers will dominate the better half of your Monday afternoon, evening and overnight hours.  As you're waking up on Tuesday morning, though the snow showers should start to wind down, look for up to 1.00" of accumulation on your car's windshield.  Temps today and tomorrow will only top out in the mid to upper 30s, so don't expect much thawing.

Join Meteorologist Mark Stitz tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm for more on your late week warm up!

Yes, it's Spring, but you're going to need your winter weather gear this morning along with your scrapers to get that snow and ice off your car's windshield.  Temps this morning are in the upper 20s and low 30s with a brisk wind.  Off and on snow showers should continue through this afternoon under cloudy skies.  Highs are only going to make it into the mid 30s...we should be near 60° for this time of the year!  All in all, I think our northern Blue Grass counties could see at most up 1.00" of a wintry accumulation.  Take your time on the roads today and keep in mind that bridges and overpasses tend to freeze first.  Overnight lows should tumble into the upper 20s.

I'm excited to let you know that a warm up is in the forecast by late week and into this upcoming weekend!  Join me today on ABC 36 News at Noon for more!

More snow showers are on the way! Join us on @ABC36Lexington #GMK for more.
