WEEKEND FORECAST: Mostly sunny skies will be around for your Saturday, with a high of 76 degrees. Saturday night into Sunday morning will be partly cloudy with a low of 52 degrees. Sunday will feature partly cloudy skies with a high of 78 degrees. There is a slight chance for an isolated rain shower or thunderstorm Sunday afternoon, yet most of us will stay dry.

NEXT WEEK: Increasing rain chances return for next week, with strong to severe thunderstorms possible Monday and Tuesday. The biggest threats with any thunderstorms next week will be gusty winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall. A slow moving low pressure system will linger over the region for most of next week, giving us lingering rain chances through the end of the work week next week. Temperatures will be warmer Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the lower 70s. Cooler temperatures return by midweek next week, with highs in the upper 60s Wednesday, falling into the upper 50s by next Friday.
