Afternoon Update:

If you're just heading out the door for a late lunch break, it's still plenty cold outside.  As of lunch, temps are in the upper 20 & 30s; however, when you factor in the winds, it feels more like temps are in the low 20s.  Make sure you're bundling up before you head out.  By mid to late afternoon, showers may transition into sleet showers.  Icing could be a concern during the overnight.  Tonight, the temperatures will drop like a rock into the mid 20s...with wind chills in the teens.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

We're waking up this morning to mid and low level cold clouds.  The good news is that none of those clouds are giving way to any showers...as of right now.  Temperatures should stay below freezing through late morning before warming into the mid 30s by lunch time.  Though highs should top out in the upper 30s, we'll still, for the first time in a little while, be below normal in the temperature department.  During your drive home from work today, there is a chance for a rain and sleet mix.  Don't expect any accumulation; however, in our southeastern counties especially, the possibly for a little wintry mix does exist.

By late week and into this upcoming weekend, look for more sunshine, finally!, along with mild temps.

Join us today at Noon on ABC 36 for more on your forecast!
