Midnight Update:  We have had very heavy rainfall across the Bluegrass region, which has led to some flooding problems tonight.  We will continue to have the chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms overnight, with warm and muggy conditions.  This tropical airmass will continue to be over the region through the end of the week, with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms possible for Thursday and Friday as a cold front approaches and stalls over the region.  High temperatures will be around 83 degrees on Thursday and 82 degrees on Friday.

We will continue to have warm and humid conditions this week, with lingering rain showers each day.

Tonight: A cold front will approach the region overnight into Thursday, giving us the chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Overnight low temperatures will be warm, with a low of 70 degrees.

Thursday: The cold front will stall over the region on Thursday, continuing to give us the chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The biggest threat with any thunderstorms will be heavy rainfall, yet a few storms may contain gusty winds as well. Thursday afternoon high temperatures will be around 83 degrees.

Friday: The chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue for Friday, with high temperatures around 82 degrees.

This Weekend: Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue throughout the weekend. High temperatures will be around 84 degrees for Saturday and 82 degrees for Sunday. Rainfall chances look to be more confined to Southern Kentucky as we go through the weekend, with high pressure developing to our north.

Next Week: The annual Perseid Meteor Shower will peak Sunday through Tuesday of next week. Skies will be partly cloudy next week, with the chance for some isolated rain showers. High temperatures will continue to be in the low to mid 80s.
