Midnight Update: Skies have been clearing across the region tonight, with diminishing winds. Overnight low temperatures look to fall into the mid to upper 50s.
You may want a light jacket for the early morning commute, yet get ready for much warmer temperatures with Tuesday afternoon highs around 80 degrees! The record high for Tuesday is 84 degrees set back in 1919.
Temperatures will be even warmer for Wednesday, with a high of 83 degrees, which looks to tie the record high of 83 degrees set on April 10th, 2011.
Rain showers and thunderstorms return for Thursday as a cold front moves over the region, with high temperatures around 72 degrees. There is the possibility for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms for the afternoon and evening hours of Thursday as well.
Temperatures return to the 50s for Friday and Saturday, with dry conditions expected for the weekend ahead.
Temperatures will remain mild for tonight with overnight low temperatures around 58 degrees with partly cloudy skies.
The warming trend continues for Tuesday and Wednesday, with high temperatures around 80 degrees for Tuesday and into the lower 80s for Wednesday. There will be a slight chance for some isolated rain showers Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, yet most of us will stay dry.
Thursday looks like our best chance for seeing rain this week, as a strong cold front moves through. There is the potential for some strong to severe thunderstorms for Thursday afternoon and evening, with gusty winds being the biggest threat. Thursday afternoon high temperatures will be around 72 degrees.
A few lingering rain showers will be possible early Friday, with a cooler high temperature of 56 degrees.
The weekend is looking dry, with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees for Saturday, and around 70 degrees for Sunday.
