Midnight Update:  Temperatures are frigid once again tonight, yet temperatures will not be as cold as Monday night/Tuesday morning.  Overnight low temperatures will be around 8 degrees, with partly cloudy skies.  Wednesday will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies, with a high of 30 degrees.  If you're heading to Rupp Arena for the UK vs. Mississippi State game at 8pm Wednesday, temperatures will be around 28 degrees for your ride to Rupp, and around 25 degrees for your ride home.  A weak weather disturbance will move into the region on Thursday, giving us the chance for some light rain by Thursday afternoon and evening.  There may be a little snow mixed in with the rain, yet we are not expecting any significant wintry precipitation.  Friday will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies, with highs back in the upper 40s.  A good soaking rain will return on Saturday, with high temperatures around 50 degrees.  The chance for a few rain showers will linger for Sunday, with a high temperature around 48 degrees.

TONIGHT: We will have partly cloudy skies and another frigid night, with low temperatures around 8 degrees. There will be a light breeze from the south, yet winds will not be as breezy, and all of the Wind Chill Warnings have expired.

WEDNESDAY: We will have partly to mostly cloudy skies through the day, with high temperatures around 30 degrees. Winds will be from the southwest around 5 to 10 mph.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Skies will remain mostly cloudy, with overnight low temperatures around 23 degrees.

THURSDAY: A weak weather disturbance will approach the region on Thursday, yet precipitation amounts look to be light. Timing will be important with Thursday’s weak event. Right now, it looks like we will mainly have a light rain falling for Thursday afternoon and evening, when temperatures are above freezing. However, if the rain were to begin earlier in the day, we could have a little freezing rain. Thursday afternoon high temperatures will be around 38 degrees.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy skies will continue through the day Friday, with high temperatures around 47 degrees. There is a slight chance for an isolated rain shower, yet most of the day will stay dry. Better chances for rain return Friday night through Saturday.

WEEKEND: We will have temperatures back to around 50 degrees for Saturday, yet we also look to have a rainy day. Rain showers will linger into Saturday night, with overnight low temperatures around 35 degrees. Sunday will feature partly cloudy skies with a slight chance for a stray rain shower.

NEXT WEEK: Colder temperatures look to return through next week, with temperatures in the mid 40s on Monday, and around 40 degrees for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. There will be a chance for a little wintry mix and some snow Monday through Wednesday, yet weather models do not have a good handle on it at this time.
