Afternoon Update:

I hope you're enjoying the sunshine that we're seeing outside right now.  Look for a few more clouds to roll in during the mid to late afternoon and into this evening.  We'll call it partly cloudy through the day with an isolated shower possible in our extreme eastern counties.  Given all the sunshine we're seeinng, look for more areas in central KY to touch a 50+ degree reading this afternoon.

Make sure to join Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Schack tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm for more on your forecast!

-------------------------------------

It's a cold start in some areas of western Kentucky this morning with temps tumbling into the 20s...this is the reason why a few areas of the Blue Areas are under Freeze Warnings through mid-morning.  The cloud cover that we're seeing outside in central Kentucky should begin to break up by late morning into the early half of this afternoon exposing the sunshine! That sunshine should help warm temperatures by this afternoon into the upper 40s and low 50s.  Temperatures will still be well below normal; however, by this Saturday, I'm forecasting temps to rebound to just about where we should be for this time of the year.

See you today at Noon on ABC36 for more on your 7-day forecast!

It's a #cool start to the morning. More at 5am on @ABC36Lexington #KyWx http://t.co/4FoLoZ9x
