Midnight Update:  We are looking at mostly clear skies overnight.  There are a wide variety of temperatures across Kentucky right now, with areas like Danville already at 55° at 11pm and 68° for Monticello and Jackson.  Lexington is at 61° at the 11pm update.  Temperatures look to range in the low to mid 50s by the Tuesday morning commute.  We will keep a close watch on radar Tuesday afternoon and evening with the possible development of strong to severe thunderstorms.

_________________________________________________

Tonight: We will have partly cloudy skies overnight with cool and comfortable conditions, as overnight low temperatures fall to around 58 degrees by Tuesday morning.

Tuesday: The Storm Prediction Center has most of Kentucky under a "Slight" risk for Tuesday, as strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible. The biggest threats look to be strong gusty winds and large hail. Tuesday will feature increasing clouds through the day, with the best chance for rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Tuesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 76 degrees.

Tuesday Night/Wednesday Morning: The chance for rain and thunderstorms will linger into Tuesday night, with overnight low temperatures staying mild. Wednesday morning low temperatures will be around 61 degrees.

Wednesday: Skies will generally be partly to mostly cloudy, with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms possible once again. Wednesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 79 degrees.

Thursday: Temperatures will stay warm for Thursday as high temperatures reach 80 degrees, with partly cloudy skies. The chance for some isolated rain showers and thunderstorms continues for Thursday as well.

Friday: Another strong cold front will cross the region on Friday, bringing the chance for a good soaking rain, and cooler temperatures for the end of the week.

Depending on the exact timing of the cold front's passage, temperatures look to fall through the afternoon and evening hours. Low to mid 60s look to be reached by late morning, with temperatures falling into the 50s through the afternoon.

Weekend: Cooler temperatures and dry conditions will return for the weekend, with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees, and mostly sunny skies.
