Midnight Update:  The threat of severe thunderstorms has quickly diminished across portions of Central and Eastern Kentucky.  However, rain showers will linger into the early morning hours of Friday.  A cold front will continue to move through the region overnight, with chilly temperatures for the Friday morning commute.  Friday morning temperatures will be in the mid to upper 40s, so grab a jacket before you head out the door.  Friday afternoon high temperatures will be around 57 degrees.

This Evening: Strong thunderstorms will continue to move through Eastern Kentucky this evening, with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms across the Bluegrass region. This rain and storm activity is associated with a strong cold front that is moving across Kentucky tonight, which will bring in much cooler temperatures for the end of the week.

Overnight: Low temperatures will fall into the mid 40s, with rain showers diminishing by the Friday morning commute.

Friday: We will have partly sunny skies for Friday, yet grab your jacket because high temperatures will only reach 57 degrees.

Friday Night: It gets even colder for Friday night into Saturday morning, with Saturday morning low temperatures starting off around 36 degrees. If you have some spring plants you just put out, I think you'll be OK for the most part, yet higher elevations of Eastern Kentucky may have some temperatures around the freezing mark.

Saturday: Mostly sunny skies return for Saturday, with a cool high temperature of 58 degrees. You'll probably want to grab a jacket if you head out to Keeneland for the Blue Grass Stakes, or for the Blue-White UK game Saturday evening.

Sunday: Temperatures get milder Sunday through early next week, with temperatures returning to the low to mid 70s. There will be increasing chances for rain next Tuesday through Thursday.
