Afternoon Update:

We're continuing to track areas of showers and a few thunderstorms as we roll into your Friday afternoon.  This will be the trend through the mid and late day before more clearing takes place by late evening and during the overnight hours. If you're heading to a high school football game this evening, bring your rain gear with you - you'll need it!

Have a great Saturday & Sunday!

Happy Friday!

This morning some of us were rudely awaken by the sounds of thunder and flashes of lightning streaking through the skies.  Have your umbrella and your rain gear along with you this morning and this afternoon.  A few of the storms this morning could be heavy at times, producing gusty winds with small hail and frequent lightning.  Highs this afternoon should top out in the low 70s.  If you're heading out this evening, I'm forecasting temps in to eventually fall into the mid to upper 50s.

As you're waking up Saturday morning, though we could see an isolated shower early, by the afternoon, we're anticipating those clouds to break up and give way to a mix of sunshine and clouds through the day.  Highs Saturday and Sunday should only top out in the low 70s.  Sunday looks to be the best day this weekend to head outside and get any yard work done.
