Afternoon Update:

We're continuing to track areas of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.  At this point, our severe threat is low; however, we could see a few strong thunderstorms during the course of the day.  The cloud cover and the early arrival of the showers and storms have limited daytime heating meaning that our expected high temps is going to be lower than initially forecast.  We're aiming for upper 60s and low 70s this afternoon.

Wherever your plans take you today, make sure to have an umbrella with you!

Make sure to join Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Schack tonight at 5pm, 6pm and 11pm for more on your forecast.

As you're up and about this Tuesday morning, we're off to a partly cloudy start.  However, through this afternoon, we're forecasting increasing clouds, showers, storms & temps.  At this point, thunderstorms that do develop should stay below severe limits; however, we could see a few heavy ones embedded.  The partly cloudy skies that you're waking up to this morning should give way to mostly cloudy skies this afternoon and evening.  Temperatures should top out this afternoon in the mid 70s with overnight lows dipping into the low 60s.  Our target time for showers and storms should be in the early/mid afternoon range.

We're back in low 80s by your Wednesday with a chance for showers and storms through our your workweek.  Check out your 7-day forecast on our weather video link!
