Midnight Update:  With winds out of the north and clearing skies, we will continue to have temperatures cooling into the upper 50s through early Thursday.  We will have plenty of sunshine for Thursday, with high temperatures around 80 degrees; a great day to be outdoors!  Temperatures look to remain in the upper 70s to lower 80s Friday into early next week.  Our next chance for rain will be this weekend, as a cold front moves through late Saturday into early Sunday.  Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible Saturday afternoon and evening, with a few lingering rain showers possible for early Sunday.

What a refreshing day to be outdoors. After the cold front moved through earlier this morning, we’ve had drier and cooler air moving into the region. We look to stay pleasant for the rest of the week.

Tonight: We will have mostly clear skies with an overnight low temperature of 58 degrees. There will be a chance for some patchy fog developing by early Thursday morning as well.

Thursday: With mostly sunny skies and highs around 80 degrees, Thursday will be a very pleasant day to be outdoors, as high pressure develops over the region.

Friday: High pressure will start off over the region early Friday, giving us mostly sunny skies, yet clouds will increase by the afternoon and evening hours as high pressure moves away. There is a slight chance for an isolated rain shower for Eastern Kentucky, yet most of us will just see a few extra clouds.

Weekend: Another cold front will move through the region late Saturday into early Sunday, bringing another chance for some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms for late Saturday. Saturday high temperatures will be around 84 degrees, with a high of 79 degrees for Sunday. Even though the cold front is moving through this weekend, we are not expecting a washout, as moisture will be rather limited.

Next Week: Temperatures will remain in the low to mid 80s for next week, with increasing rain chances by midweek next week.
