Mild and breezy conditions will continue through the weekend, with scattered rain showers tonight through Saturday. A Wind Advisory is in effect for late Saturday into early Sunday. A cold front will move through early Sunday, bringing heavier rain through the region. Colder and drier conditions return early next week, with highs in the lower 30s on Christmas Eve and highs around 40 degrees for Christmas Day.
TONIGHT: Cloudy skies and breezy southerly winds will continue overnight, with a few scattered rain showers developing. Overnight low temperatures will be around 54 degrees.
SATURDAY: A stalled cold front to our north and west will continue to give us cloudy skies, with the chance for scattered rain showers. However, we are not expecting much rain during the daylight hours of Saturday. Wind Advisories are in effect for all of the viewing area Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning, with wind gusts up to 40 mph possible. There is also an enhanced risk for strong to severe thunderstorms for Western Kentucky, and areas west of I-75 for Saturday night.
SUNDAY: A cold front will move through Central and Eastern Kentucky early Sunday morning, with rain diminishing and skies clearing into the late afternoon. Sunday will start off with temperatures around 63 degrees in the morning, with temperatures dropping into the 50s by Sunday afternoon, after the cold front passes through.
NEXT WEEK: As we approach Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we will have colder and drier conditions. Monday will feature the chance for a few flurries, and a high of 39 degrees. Christmas Eve Tuesday will be colder, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 32 degrees. Christmas Day looks to be partly sunny with a high of 40 degrees.
