Afternoon Update:

We're still cloudy & cold with snow flurries.  Look for highs only in the mid to upper 30s.  You should notice a little bit of thawing; however, don't expect much of a warm up until late week and into this weekend.

Good morning!

It's a cloudy & cold start this morning with many of us waking up to snow showers.  Watch out for slick roadways as you're out and about.  By lunch time, temps should be in the low to mid 30s with snow flurries.  Highs today will be a good 20° below normal. During the afternoon, you may also notice a light wintry mix of rain & sleet with snow.  We're not expecting anything more than a light dusting this morning and into this afternoon in the Blue Grass. However, in the higher elevated regions of eastern KY, look for an additional 1" of snow.  In our far southeastern counties; Bell, Letcher & Harlan, we could see an additional 2"-4" by the time everything is said and done.  Overnight lows should dip down into the mid upper 20s.  Look for snow flurries to continue into Wednesday morning.

If all you want is a warm up, we have 50s back in the forecast by the end of the week and into this weekend. Join me on ABC 36 News at Noon for more....
