Midnight Update: We have had some extra clouds streaming in from the west tonight, yet expect only partly cloudy skies overnight. Now that we're officially in hurricane season (which runs June 1st - November 30th), we're watching a low pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico, which may continue to strengthen, move over Florida on Thursday, and up the Mid-Atlantic coast on Friday, bringing heavy rainfall to the East Coast United States. Our best chance for rain still looks to be on Thursday, with lingering rain chances into Friday.
We will have seasonal temperatures for the rest of the week, with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Rain chances will be increasing for the end of the work week, with drier conditions for the weekend.
Tonight: We will have mostly clear skies, with some extra clouds streaming in from the west during the early morning hours of Wednesday. Wednesday morning low temperatures will be around 58 degrees.
Wednesday: Temperatures will be slightly warmer for Wednesday, with partly sunny skies and a high temperature of 81 degrees. There will be a chance for some isolated rain showers and thunderstorms for late in the day, yet the majority of the viewing area will stay dry.
Wednesday Night: After a few isolated thunderstorms diminish Wednesday evening, we can expect partly cloudy skies with low temperatures around 64 degrees by Thursday morning.
Thursday: A cold front will move closer to Kentucky on Thursday, and linger over the region into Friday, bringing the best chance for rain this week. Thursday will generally be mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms possible throughout the day, especially in the afternoon and evening. Thursday high temperatures will be around 79 degrees.
Friday: Some lingering rain showers will continue into Friday, with partly to mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures around 78 degrees.
Weekend: This weekend looks fantastic for spending time outdoors, with partly sunny skies, a high of 79 degrees for Saturday, and a high of 82 degrees for Sunday.
I hope you've had a fantastic Tuesday! What a beautiful day! Here's your latest weather forecast for the rest... http://t.co/R7pxPUhvkJ
