More Sunshine & Pleasant For Tuesday

Midnight Update:  Rain showers have moved away, with rainfall totals around 0.25" on average from Monday evening.  Skies will continue to clear as we go into your early morning hours of Tuesday, with mostly sunny skies into your Tuesday afternoon.  Tuesday will be a pleasant day, with a high of 52 degrees.  Temperatures remain around 51 degrees for Wednesday, with partly to mostly cloudy skies, and the chance for a few isolated rain showers over Southeast Kentucky.  Thursday will be our warmest day of the week, with highs in the lower 60s.  Rain showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds associated with a strong cold front will move through Thursday night.

Milder temperatures return this week, with another chance for rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds for Thursday.

TONIGHT: Gusty winds will continue through early tonight, with clearing skies. Overnight low temperatures will be around 31 degrees.

TUESDAY: After a chilly start to the day, skies will be mostly sunny with pleasant afternoon high temperatures around 52 degrees.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy Tuesday night, with overnight low temperatures around 38 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with high temperatures remaining slightly above normal, with a high of 51 degrees. There will be a chance for a few rain showers, which will mainly be confined to Southeast Kentucky.

THURSDAY: Our warmest day of the week will be Thursday, as high temperatures return to the 60s, with a few locations possibly hitting the 70 degree mark in Southern Kentucky. These warm temperatures Thursday afternoon will be followed by a strong cold front, which will cross Kentucky late Thursday into early Friday. The cold front will bring the chance for strong to severe winds, along with heavy rainfall. There is even a chance that a few isolated tornadoes may develop.

FRIDAY: A few lingering rain showers may continue Friday morning, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 49 degrees.

WEEKEND: Our weekend will start off with temperatures around 51 degrees on Saturday, with a chance for a few rain showers late in the day. Sunday will be colder, with a high of 42 degrees, under partly sunny skies. Temperatures remain chilly for the beginning of next week, with high temperatures around 40 degrees.
