Isolated Thunderstorms Possible For Tonight

Midnight Update:  Rain showers and thunderstorms have diminished across Kentucky early tonight, with a broken line of rain and thunderstorms from Illinois to Indiana to Ohio.  We will continue to have the chance for isolated rain showers and thunderstorms through the early morning hours of Friday, with increasing sunshine through the day Friday.  Friday afternoon will feature mostly sunny skies with a high of 76 degrees.  We will have a pleasant start to the Memorial Day Weekend, with highs in the upper 70s for Saturday, lower 80s for Sunday and mid 80s for Memorial Day Monday.  Mostly sunny skies will continue for Saturday and Sunday, with the chance for some late day showers and thunderstorms for Memorial Day Monday.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible overnight, with more sunshine returning for Friday afternoon and the Memorial Day Weekend. After a brief cool down for Friday afternoon, a warming trend will return through the holiday weekend.

TONIGHT: Scattered thunderstorms will develop mainly across Southern Kentucky, with partly to mostly cloudy skies overnight. Overnight low temperatures will be around 56 degrees by Friday morning.

FRIDAY: Drier conditions return for Friday, with partly sunny skies and a pleasant high temperature of 76 degrees.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: We look to have warm conditions for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend, with morning low temperatures in the mid 50s to around 60 degrees, and afternoon high temperatures ranging from the upper 70s on Saturday to mid 80s by Memorial Day Monday. Saturday will feature mostly sunny skies with a high of 77 degrees. Sunday will be a little warmer, with mostly sunny skies continuing and a high of 83 degrees. Memorial Day Monday will be partly sunny, with a high of 85 degrees, and the chance for isolated late day thunderstorms. Temperatures remain in the low to mid 80s through midweek next week, with late day thunderstorm chances.
