We will have clearing skies tonight, with a beautiful end to the work week. Rain chances return for the start of the weekend, with more pleasant conditions returning for the end of the weekend.

Tonight: Rain showers across Eastern Kentucky will continue to diminish, with clearing skies across Central and Eastern Kentucky tonight. Overnight low temperatures will fall to around 61 degrees. There will be a chance for some patchy dense fog overnight, especially for the valleys and locations that have received rainfall recently.

Friday: High pressure will build into the region giving us mostly sunny skies with high temperatures around 84 degrees. Lower dew points will also make the air feel more comfortable, even though temperatures will be warm.

Friday Night: Clouds will be increasing overnight Friday into Saturday morning with low temperatures around 64 degrees.

Weekend: A cold front will move across the region Saturday night, which will give us the chance for some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms from Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. Saturday afternoon high temperatures will be around 85 degrees. After the cold front moves through Saturday night, we’ll have clearing skies for Sunday, with partly sunny skies overall. Sunday afternoon will be pleasant, with lower humidity values and high temperatures around 80 degrees.

Next Week: We will start off next week dry, yet the chance for rain will increase through the week, as unsettled weather returns for midweek next week, bringing another chance for rain and thunderstorms. Temperatures next week will generally be in the low to mid 80s.
