Midnight Update:  We will have a beautiful end to the week, with better rain chances by next Wednesday.  Temperatures remain in the mid to upper 70s Friday through the weekend, with mostly sunny skies for Friday and Saturday.  A weak cold front will bring some extra clouds on Sunday, with the chance for a few isolated rain showers.  Monday and Tuesday will start off quiet, with highs in the lower 70s and partly sunny skies.  A stronger cold front will move through next Wednesday, bringing our next best chance for a good soaking rain and cooler temperatures.  High temperatures will be back in the low to mid 60s next Wednesday and Thursday.

We will continue to have mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures for Friday into Saturday. A weak cold front will move through the area on Sunday, with a stronger cold front moving through next week. Temperatures will be chilly in the mornings and overnight hours, yet mild during the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Clear skies will continue tonight, with a chilly low temperature of 49 degrees. There will be a chance for some patchy fog developing overnight, mainly for the river valleys.

FRIDAY: We are tracking a low pressure system off the Mid-Atlantic coast, which may give us a few extra clouds on Friday, yet we are expecting mostly sunny skies overall. Friday afternoon high temperatures will be around 76 degrees. Temperatures at the start of Friday night high school football games will be around 67 degrees, so a jacket will be good to take along.

THIS WEEKEND: Partly sunny skies will be around for the weekend, with temperatures staying in the mid to upper 70s. Saturday afternoon high temperatures will be around 77 degrees. Temperatures look to be in the upper 60s at the start of the UK vs. Alabama football game Saturday evening. A weakening and moisture-starved cold front will move through the region on Sunday, giving us the chance for a few spotty rain showers.

NEXT WEEK: A better chance for rain will return midweek next week, as a stronger cold front moves through next Wednesday, which will also bring in colder air.
