We will have a pleasant start to the weekend, followed by colder temperatures and possible wintry precipitation for next week.
SATURDAY: Our weekend will start off with temperatures around 57 degrees on Saturday, with mostly to partly sunny skies. Winds will be breezy out of the southwest, gusting up to 25 mph at times.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies will develop, with a slight chance for a little wintry mix Saturday night into Sunday morning, with overnight low temperatures around 36 degrees by Sunday morning.
SUNDAY: A cold front will drop into the region, keeping the chance for a rain to snow mix during the day. Most of the precipitation looks to stay north of I-64, with no major accumulations. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, with a chilly high temperature of 46 degrees.
NEXT WEEK: We will have a cooling trend next week, with high temperatures around 40 degrees on Monday, under partly sunny skies. Tuesday will be colder, with a high of 38 degrees, and the chance for a wintry mix and snow late in the day. Colder, arctic air will move down into Kentucky for Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the mid 20s and low temperatures around 10 degrees.
