Midnight Update:  Rain showers have been developing across Western Kentucky as a cold front is now moving into the western-half of the Commonwealth.  Rain showers will develop for early Tuesday, with rain diminishing by the afternoon hours, from west to east.  Tuesday will be a cooler day with highs around 56 degrees.  Another round of weather disturbances will move through on Wednesday and Thursday, with more light rain showers and high temperatures in the mid to upper 40s.  Friday will feature mostly sunny skies, yet morning low temperatures will be at or below the freezing mark, with afternoon high temperatures remaining in the upper 40s.  Temperatures will be back in the 50s by the weekend, with a slight chance for an isolated rain shower.

After a beautiful start to the week, we look to have MUCH colder and rainy conditions for the rest of the week. High temperatures will be about 20 degrees BELOW normal Wednesday through Friday!

TONIGHT: A cold front will move through the region overnight, bringing rain showers and cooler air. Overnight low temperatures will be around 42 degrees by Tuesday morning.

TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy skies will stay with us throughout the day, with chilly and rainy conditions. The bulk of the rain looks to move through early Tuesday, with decreasing rain for the afternoon. Tuesday high temperatures will be around 56 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Temperatures will start off in the mid to upper 30s Wednesday morning, with temperatures struggling to rise throughout the day. Another weather disturbance will move through the region, giving us a reinforcing shot of colder air and the chance for more light rain showers. The air will be cold enough in the upper atmosphere that some wintry slush may mix in with the rain as well. Wednesday high temperatures will only be 47 degrees, which is 20 degrees below normal.

THURSDAY: High temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 40s for Thursday, with the chance for a few rain showers, possibly mixed with some wintry precipitation.

FRIDAY: More sunshine returns for Friday, yet temperatures will remain cold, with a high of 48 degrees.

WEEKEND: Temperatures will be back into the low to mid 50s for Saturday and Sunday, with the slight chance for a few rain showers. Otherwise, we look to have mostly sunny to partly sunny skies.
