Afternoon Update:
We're still seeing a few showers popping up along a cold front moving through our area. Still expect temperatures this afternoon to spike into the low to mid 80s with clearing skies by later afternoon.
If you watched our noon show, you saw LIVE how Isaac right before our eyes became a hurricane with winds sustained at 75 mph. It's eventual track will take it into central KY by late week and into the weekend.
Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Schack will have more on your forecast tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11 right here on ABC 36.

Isolated showers are popping up on our radar this morning. Make sure to hook your students up with umbrellas before heading out the door. The showers, which are developing along a cold front, should continue to push down towards the south though late morning and into this afternoon. This morning, we'll call it a muggy & humid start with temps generally in the 70s. We'll warm things up by this afternoon into the low to mid 80s under mostly cloudy skies. Our best shot for afternoon and evening showers and perhaps a thunderstorm will be in our southern counties through your Tuesday.
If you want the sunshine, you'll see it by Wednesday! Look for temperatures to begin to warm once again into the mid to upper 80s by mid to late week. Friday - Monday, tropical showers and storms from Isaac should move in to central KY. If you have any weekend plans, plan on mid 80s with showers.
