Midnight Update: We are looking at mostly clear skies tonight, with lighter winds. Overnight low temperatures will be rather mild, with a low of 66 degrees. Thursday will be another very warm day, with a high of 87 degrees. There will be a chance for a few isolated thunderstorms Thursday afternoon, mainly west of I-75.
The heat and increasing humidity continues for Thursday, with highs in the mid to upper 80s. A cold front will approach the region Friday into the weekend, giving us increasing rain chances through Sunday.
Tonight: Temperatures will remain warm this evening, with a mild overnight low temperature of 66 degrees. Southwest winds will remain a little breeze.
Thursday: We will have mostly to partly sunny skies with a high temperature around 87 degrees. Winds will continue to be breezy, out of the southwest 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. There will be a chance for a few thunderstorms across far western parts of Kentucky. Any thunderstorm activity looks to mainly stay along and west of I-65.
Friday: Temperatures remain warm for Friday with a high of 85 degrees. There will be a better chance for seeing some isolated thunderstorms on Friday, as a slow moving cold front moves closer to the Mississippi Valley.
This Weekend: Temperatures will remain warm for Saturday and Sunday, with increasing rain chances as a cold front approaches and moves through the region. Saturday will feature partly cloudy skies with a few scattered thunderstorms, with a high temperature of 86 degrees. The best chance for rain looks to be late Sunday, as the cold front is forecasted to move through the region. Sunday high temperatures will be around 80 degrees.
Next Week: After a chance for a few early rain showers, Monday will feature partly cloudy skies with high temperatures around 78 degrees. Temperatures remain in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees for next Tuesday and Wednesday.
