A cold front will move through Kentucky Tuesday night, with lingering rain showers and storms possible into early Wednesday. Temperatures stay in the low to mid 80s for the rest of the work week, with more sunshine for Thursday and Friday.
The chance for rain and thunderstorms will increase tonight through early Wednesday. Some thunderstorms may become strong to severe late Tuesday, with gusty winds and heavy rainfall the primary threats.
TONIGHT: We will have mostly cloudy skies tonight, with a few rain showers and thunderstorms possible. Overnight low temperatures will be around 70 degrees.
TUESDAY: Skies will be mostly cloudy on Tuesday with a better chance for widespread, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. The best chance for strong to severe thunderstorms will be between 6pm Tuesday to midnight Wednesday. Tuesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 85 degrees.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Lingering rain and thunderstorm chances will continue Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as a cold front moves through Kentucky. Overnight low temperatures will be around 68 degrees.
WEDNESDAY: The chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue for Wednesday, mainly early in the day, with an afternoon high of 84 degrees.
THURSDAY: We will have more sunshine for Thursday, with partly sunny skies and a high of 83 degrees.
FRIDAY: Partly sunny skies continue for Friday, with afternoon high temperatures around 86 degrees.
NEXT WEEKEND: Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees this weekend, with the chance for a few late day rain showers and thunderstorms.
