Afternoon Update:

Most of us are enjoying partly sunny skies with a nice mild breeze! However, south of I-64 and west of I-75, we're seeing more clouds and a few of those clouds will lead to showers.  Highs today are expected in the low 50s with overnight lows falling right around the freezing mark.

Join Meteorologist Mark Stitiz tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm for more on your warmer weekend forecast.

If you're waking up with us in our southwestern counties, around Lake Cumberland, look for increasing clouds with isolated showers. Given that temperatures are at and below freezing this early morning, a light wintry mix is also possible.  Highs today should top out in the low to mid 50s under partly cloudy skies in the Blue Grass and eastern KY.  Overnight lows will fall into the mid 30s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.  By first thing Saturday morning, you'll notice the passing clouds; however, a quick warm up is in the forecast with highs on both your Saturday & Easter Sunday in the low 60s!

Join me on ABC 36 News at Noon for more on next week's cool down.
