Rain Showers And Isolated Thunderstorms Possible

Midnight Update:  Rain showers have been moving into Central and Eastern Kentucky, with wind gusts around 40 mph at times.  Expect more rain to develop through the early morning hours of Friday, with low temperatures only around 50 degrees.  Breezy southerly winds will continue through the morning hours as well.  Rain will become more isolated into Friday afternoon, with a high of 63 degrees.  Another round of rain returns Friday night into Saturday, with Saturday afternoon high temperatures around 52 degrees.  Total rainfall from Friday morning through Saturday will be between 0.50" to 1.00" on average.  Sunday will feature mostly sunny skies with high temperatures around 55 degrees.  Mild temperatures continue for next week, with highs mainly in the 60s.


Multiple rain chances will return tonight through Saturday, with milder temperatures continuing.

TONIGHT:  Rain showers will develop overnight into Friday morning as a cold front approaches and moves through Kentucky, with overnight low temperatures around 49 degrees.

FRIDAY:  Rain showers will be around for early Friday as the cold front moves through.  Rain will taper off with mostly cloudy skies for Friday afternoon, with isolated rain showers still possible.  Friday afternoon high temperatures will warm up to around 63 degrees.

FRIDAY NIGHT:  Another round of rain showers will develop Friday night into Saturday, with overnight low temperatures around 45 degrees by Saturday morning. 

SATURDAY:  Rain showers will continue for Saturday, especially for early in the day, with a high of 52 degrees.  Total rainfall from Friday through Saturday will average between 0.50” to 1.00” of rain.

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Skies will be partly cloudy Saturday night, with overnight low temperatures falling to a chilly 31 degrees.

SUNDAY:  Mostly sunny skies return for Sunday, with high temperatures around 55 degrees.

NEXT WEEK:  Temperatures remain mild for the start of next week, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 66 degrees on Monday, and around 60 degrees for Tuesday.  Temperatures remain in the mid 60s Wednesday and Thursday.  There is a slight chance for rain on Wednesday, with a better chance for rain and thunderstorms next Thursday.
