A Tornado Watch is in effect until 9pm tonight for all of the ABC 36 viewing area. A watch means that conditions are favorable, and that a tornado may be possible. The biggest threat actually looks to be gusty wind damage from any strong to severe thunderstorm that develops through tonight. The worst of the strong to severe thunderstorms looks to be this evening through early tonight, with scattered thunderstorms still possible overnight. Overnight low temperatures will be around 63 degrees. A weak cold front will move through Kentucky on Thursday, with lingering rain possible early Thursday, and clearing skies by Thursday afternoon. Thursday will be a little milder, with a high of 78 degrees.
TONIGHT: Scattered thunderstorms and rain showers will be possible overnight into Thursday morning, with Thursday morning low temperatures around 63 degrees.
THURSDAY: The chance for rain and thunderstorms will linger into Thursday morning, with partly sunny skies Thursday afternoon, and a high of 78 degrees.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies will be around for Thursday night, with overnight low temperatures around 57 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny to partly sunny skies will make for a very nice end to the work week, with an afternoon high of 79 degrees. There will be a chance for isolated rain showers across Southern Kentucky Friday afternoon.
WEEKEND: Temperatures warm back into the lower 80s for the weekend, with a high of 83 on Saturday, and a high of 82 degrees on Sunday. Saturday is expected to be partly sunny, with increasing clouds and scattered rain chances for Sunday.
NEXT WEEK: Temperatures will remain in the upper 70s to lower 80s, with widely scattered rain showers and thunderstorms possible each afternoon.
