A Mild, Yet Rainy Start To The Weekend

Early Weekend Update:  A cold front will continue to move into Kentucky for early Saturday, with a line of steady rain showers moving through.  There will also be the chance for isolated thunderstorms, and gusty winds.  Temperatures will start off around 50 degrees early Saturday, and fall into the mid 40s by Saturday afternoon behind the cold front.  Skies will continue to clear late Saturday into Saturday night.  Saturday night into Sunday morning low temperatures will fall to around 32 degrees.  Sunday will feature more sunshine, with high temperatures around 46 degrees.  Another round of rain will develop for late Monday, with high temperatures around 49 degrees.  Tuesday will feature a chance for a little wintry mix, with high temperatures around 45 degrees.  High temperatures get colder by Wednesday, with highs in the 30s Wednesday through Friday.  There will also be a chance for a little snow on Wednesday, with light accumulations possible for eastern Kentucky.

RAIN SHOWERS FOR THE START OF THE WEEKEND
We will have a cold front approach the region tonight, and move through Kentucky early Saturday bringing a good soaking rain. Rain will diminish by the afternoon hours of Saturday, with more sunshine for Sunday.

TONIGHT: We will continue to have cloudy skies tonight, with temperatures remaining mild, as breezy southerly winds keep overnight low temperatures around 48 degrees.

SATURDAY: A cold front will move through early Saturday, bringing widespread rain showers for the morning hours. By the afternoon hours, most of the rain will diminish, with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be around 50 degrees early Saturday, before falling into the mid 40s by Saturday afternoon, after the cold front has moved through.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Skies will continue to clear Saturday night, with overnight low temperatures falling to 32 degrees.

SUNDAY: More sunshine returns for Sunday, with mostly sunny to partly sunny skies and a high of 46 degrees.

MONDAY: Temperatures stay in the upper 40s for Monday ahead of another cold front, which will bring another chance for rain by late in the day.

TUESDAY: A little wintry mix is possible on Tuesday, with temperatures around 45 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Cloudy skies continue into midweek next week, with the chance for some snow showers, with a cold high temperature of 33 degrees on Wednesday.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY: Partly cloudy skies will return for the end of next week, with chilly high temperatures remaining in the 30s.
