A cold front will slowly move through the region tonight, with another weather disturbance giving us lingering rain chances for Thursday.
TONIGHT: We will continue to have scattered rain showers and drizzle overnight, with cooler air moving in as well. Overnight low temperatures will be around 48 degrees.
THURSDAY: A low pressure system will move northeast from the Tennessee Valley along the Appalachian Mountains tonight into Thursday, giving us lingering rain showers. Rain showers will diminish from west to east Thursday afternoon, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 61 degrees.
FRIDAY – WEEKEND: Mostly sunny skies return Friday into the weekend, with morning low temperatures in the lower 40s, and afternoon high temperatures in the lower 60s. A weak cold front will move through early Saturday, which may give a few spotty rain showers for Saturday morning, yet the rest of the weekend looks to stay dry.
NEXT WEEK: Temperatures remain in the low to mid 60s into early next week, with partly sunny skies, and the chance for rain showers by midweek next week. Cooler air will move in by Wednesday, with morning low temperatures in the mid to upper 30s and highs in the upper 50s. With low temperatures cooling into the 30s for late next week, we will also have the potential for some frost.
