More Rain Chances Tonight Into Thursday

Midnight Update:  We will continue to have light rain showers and drizzle overnight into early Thursday, as cooler air moves into the region.  Thursday morning low temperatures will be around 48 degrees, with an afternoon high temperature of 61 degrees.  Clouds will diminish Thursday night, with some dense fog possible for Friday morning with low temperatures around 43 degrees.  Friday afternoon will feature mostly sunny skies with a high of 65 degrees.  A weak cold front will move through Saturday morning, which may give us a spotty shower, yet partly sunny skies are expected Saturday afternoon with a high of 62 degrees.  Mostly sunny skies will return for Sunday with a high of 63 degrees.  A series of cold fronts will move through next week, which will usher in some of the coldest air we've had this season.

A cold front will slowly move through the region tonight, with another weather disturbance giving us lingering rain chances for Thursday.

TONIGHT: We will continue to have scattered rain showers and drizzle overnight, with cooler air moving in as well. Overnight low temperatures will be around 48 degrees.

THURSDAY: A low pressure system will move northeast from the Tennessee Valley along the Appalachian Mountains tonight into Thursday, giving us lingering rain showers. Rain showers will diminish from west to east Thursday afternoon, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 61 degrees.

FRIDAY – WEEKEND: Mostly sunny skies return Friday into the weekend, with morning low temperatures in the lower 40s, and afternoon high temperatures in the lower 60s. A weak cold front will move through early Saturday, which may give a few spotty rain showers for Saturday morning, yet the rest of the weekend looks to stay dry.

NEXT WEEK: Temperatures remain in the low to mid 60s into early next week, with partly sunny skies, and the chance for rain showers by midweek next week. Cooler air will move in by Wednesday, with morning low temperatures in the mid to upper 30s and highs in the upper 50s. With low temperatures cooling into the 30s for late next week, we will also have the potential for some frost.
