Midnight Update:  We have strong to severe thunderstorms moving through the Bluegrass tonight as a cold front is moving into Kentucky.  We will continue to have the chance for scattered thunderstorms into early Wednesday.  After some morning clouds, patchy fog, and isolated rain showers, we expect clouds to decrease Wednesday afternoon as cooler and drier air moves into the region.  High temperatures will be around 79 degrees Wednesday afternoon, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 80 degrees on Thursday.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH UNTIL 10PM TONIGHT - for Northern and Central Kentucky, including the Lexington Metro area. More comfortable conditions arrive for the latter half of the work week.

Tonight: Scattered thunderstorms will be possible through this evening and overnight, as a cold approaches and moves through the region by early Wednesday. Any strong to severe thunderstorms will be capable of producing winds in excess of 60mph, heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and large hail. Overnight low temperatures will be around 65 degrees.

Wednesday: There will be a chance for a few lingering rain showers early Wednesday, yet we should see more breaks in the clouds as the day progresses. Overall I am expecting Wednesday to be mostly cloudy. Temperatures will feel much more pleasant for Wednesday afternoon, with a high of 79 degrees.

Thursday & Friday: Comfortable conditions will continue for Thursday and Friday, with mostly sunny skies on Thursday, and partly sunny skies for Friday. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the lower 80s, yet lower humidity values is what will really make the air feel pleasant. There is a slight chance for a few late day rain showers over Eastern Kentucky on Friday.

Weekend: Another cold front will move through the region late Saturday into early Sunday, bringing another chance for some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Saturday will feature highs around 85 degrees, with a high of 81 degrees for Sunday.
