Events are already being postponed or cancelled in anticipation of bad weather this weekend.

As of this writing, here are the closings, cancellations and postponements into the ABC 36 newsroom:

  • Versailles tree lighting ceremony cancelled Friday
  • Cathedral of Christ the King in Lexington will not have its outside Nativity Scene on Friday
  • St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Versailles cancelled Christmas Caroling on Friday night
  • The Kentucky Public Employees' Deferred Compensation Authority Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for Friday morning has been cancelled
  • The Menifee County Christmas Parade has been moved from Friday to Saturday
  • The Richmond Christmas Parade has been postponed until December 13th at 7pm
  • The Frenchburg Christmas Parade has been moved from Friday to Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
  • Laurel County Christmas Festivities have been moved from Friday to December 13th at 7:00 p.m.
  • St. Luke Catholic Church in Nicholasville has cancelled its scheduled Christmas Open House on Sunday
