Mild & Muggy w/Summer Showers - Monday

An umbrella would be a good idea to have on stand-by today. We're cloudy and mild with highs in the upper 70's nearing 80°F this afternoon.
Afternoon Update:

After this morning's rainfall, look for our summer showers to become more isolated through the day. Localized heavy rainfall in Eastern KY [Breathitt, Perry & Knott Counties] has led to Flash Flooding in a few spots, so please make sure you're exercising extreme caution around higher waters. Never attempt to cross a flooded street.

We're cloudy and warm with temps this afternoon hovering around 80°F.

Happy Monday; August 18, 2014 ~ I hope you had a great weekend!

It's a warm and muggy start this morning with summer showers in south-central & eastern Kentucky! In the Bluegrass region, look for more morning fog as well. An umbrella would be a good idea as you're up and out the door this morning and getting the kids ready for the bus stop. We're cloudy through the morning and afternoon with our
chances for rain becoming more isolated. Look for highs in the upper 70's nearing 80°F. Tonight, we'll drop into the upper 60's under mostly cloudy skies with an isolated shower possible. We're warm and humid Tuesday and through the rest of the workweek with temps nearing 90°F by late week.

See you online at: and on ABC 36 Good Morning Kentucky for more on our mid/late week warm up!
