Wave of Showers & Storms - Wednesday

Grab your wet weather gear before you head out the door today. Waves of showers and storms are in our forecast.
Afternoon Update:

Although most of the Blue Grass is rain-free as of noon today, we're anticipating areas of showers and storms to redevelop over the northern half of our state by mid to late afternoon.  Given the unstable environment of our atmosphere, the Storm Prediction Center may end up issuing a severe weather watch for the potential of strong storms.  Highs today should spike in the upper 70s and a few low 80s.

Make sure to join Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Schack for more on your Wednesday afternoon forecast & the "cooler" workweek ahead.

This morning we're waking up to spotty showers and thunderstorms mainly in the Blue Grass.  If you'll be driving along I-64, give yourself a few extra minutes to get to and from your home and destination.  Grab your umbrella before you head out the door! Waves of showers will pass through our backyards with a few thunderstorms.  A few of those thunderstorms will put down some very heavy rainfall at times, so be on the lookout for ponding on the roadways.  Temperatures today should spike in the upper 70s and low 80s.  It'll be a warm and sticky one.  Overnight lows should dip into the low 60s overnight and into the wee-early morning hours of Thursday.

Temps today should peek in the low 80s with a steady cool down through the end of the workweek and into this weekend.  Make sure to check out your 7-day forecast by clicking on the video link!

Have a great Wednesday!
