Warming Continues Into The Work Week

Our weekend warming trend will continue into the work week. Later in the week, a cold front will bring cooler air and a line of showers into the region.
Midnight Update: Temperatures have fallen to near 50° across the region. Lexington is at 48° with our warm spots currently at Jackson and Morehead with 52°.

We are still seeing a few clouds float by, but we will stay dry overnight into Monday.

Meteorologist Michael Estime will have the latest on your work week forecast, including our next chances of rain, starting at 5 a.m. on Good Morning Kentucky.

Luckily, the near-freezing temperatures won't be seen overnight into our Monday morning. We will be staying dry with morning lows only falling into the low 40s for the morning commute.

Our warming trend will continue Monday afternoon as we top out into the upper 60s. Southern Kentucky could easily hit 70° during the afternoon. Skies will be partly cloudy with southerly winds up to 10mph.

By Tuesday, the rest of us will make it into the low 70s with a continued mix of sun and clouds.

Our next cold front will arrive Wednesday, bringing a line of showers and the possibility of a few thunderstorms. We will also see much cooler air move in during the day.
