Wanted Person Arrested After Police Pursuit

State Police said a wanted person, Margaret Anderson, 66, of Pendleton, was arrested after a pursuit through two counties that ended in Lexington.
State Police said a wanted person was arrested after a police pursuit through two counties that ended in Lexington.

Investigators said State Police received information of a wanted person, Margaret Anderson, 66, of Pendleton, traveling East on I-64 in Franklin County.

A State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer spotted Anderson in Scott County.

State Police said the officer tried to make a traffic stop on I-64 in Scott County, but that Anderson refused to pull over and a pursuit ensued.

Investigators said Anderson intentionally tried to sideswipe the officer's vehicle.

Troopers from the State Police post in Frankfort joined in the pursuit.

Investigators said as the pursuit entered Fayette County, Anderson surrendered without incident.

Anderson was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.

State Police said Anderson was charged with Fleeing and Evading 1st, Wanton Endangerment 1st, No Registration Plate, No Insurance and Criminal Mischief 1st on a warrant from Jessamine County.
