Election Day is just weeks away and today voters were able to hear from candidates running for Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council.

The event was hosted by the League of Women Voters and the Lexington Public Library.

Candidates from seven districts answered questions from the audience.

Organizers say they've been hosting these forums for years and that the started as a way to engage people in the democratic process.

You can find a video of what the candidates said on the Lexington Public Library YouTube page starting Tuesday.
