Visitation for London Soldier Killed in Combat

Visitation for Army PFC Dustin Napier of London who was killed in combat on January 8th, while serving in Afghanistan.
American flags line the street in front of the London Funeral Home in Laurel County.  With heavy hearts, loved ones are gathering here Wednesday night for a visitation for Army Private First Class Dustin Napier.  The local fire company has an American flag hanging and the Patriot Guard Riders are here to honor him for making the ultimate sacrifice.

The 20-year-old London native was killed in combat on January 8th, 2012, while serving in Afghanistan.

Napier's grandmother says he loved the military and it was his childhood dream to become a soldier.  A 2010 graduate of South Laurel High School, he was a cadet in the junior ROTC program.  This past weekend, family and friends came together at his alma mater for a prayer vigil to remember him.

Napier is survived by a wife and a stepson, as well as many other family members in the area.

The funeral will also be held at the London Funeral Home at 1 P.M. on Thursday.
