Update: Victim Identified In Fatal Scott County Crash

We now know who died in a Scott County crash.

Police say a semi and SUV collided around 10:30 Thursday morning on Cynthiana Road.

Investigators say a woman in the SUV died.

Troopers say the victim was 59-year-old Karla Hopton of Sadieville.

According to State Police, the SUV crossed the center line.

They say the semi's driver moved into the shoulder to try to avoid the SUV but couldn't.

Troopers say the semi driver went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
