Veterans Honored During Special Ceremony In Nicholasville

The group, 'Military Freedom Fest,' honored past, present and deceased Veterans during a special ceremony Thursday evening in Nicholasville.
Military heroes were honored Thursday night in Nicholasville.

The group, 'Military Freedom Fest,' led by Doug Day, John Price and others, honor past, present and deceased Veterans at four ceremonies throughout the year in Jessamine County.

The money to put on the Military Honors Ceremonies comes from fundraisers and corporate/business donations and sponsors.

Honorees on Thursday at Edgewood Baptist Church included wounded war hero, Marine Corporal Matt Bradford, Korean War hero Charles Hughes and original Tuskegee Airman, Alvin Larue, Senior.

ABC 36 News Anchor Tom Kenny's late father, Thomas S. Kenny, a Disabled Veteran from World War II, was also recognized along with dozens of other Veterans.
