A high school senior from Versailles is Kentucky's Distinguished Young Woman of 2013.

Ellen Ward competed against 34 other high school girls in the categories of scholastics, fitness, self-expression, talent and an interview with the judging panel.

Ward won $5,800 in scholarships and will represent the Commonwealth in the National finals in Mobile, Alabama in late June.
