Urban County Councilmember Kevin Stinnett To Seek At-Large Seat

Lexington Urban County Councilmember Kevin Stinnett announced he's going to run for an at-large seat on the council.

Stinnett has represented the 6th District since 2004.

The at-large position is a four-year term.

The only current at-large councilmember who can run for re-election is Steve Kay.

The top voter getter in the at-large race becomes the vice mayor.

The filing deadline for candidates is January 28, 2014.
