A woman is now in serious condition at UK Hospital, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Renee Bray was pulled from her home on Savoy Road in Lexington after it caught fire around 3 p.m. on Friday.

Firefighters said Bray was having trouble breathing because of the thick smoke in the home. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

They said the inside of the house was destroyed.

Officials are still looking into what caused the fire.

A dog was also in the home and did not make it out.
