Family members are calling a woman killed during a murder-suicide in Washington County a "hero."
Kentucky State Police said they were called to a home on Brush Grove Road in Willisburg Sunday at around 10 p.m.
Troopers said they found 52-year-old William Woodford and his mother-in-law, 58-year-old Phyllis Tarter dead.
Tarter's daughter said William Woodford's wife and his 17-year-old son were also in the home. She said Tarter called police, which distracted Woodford and gave his wife and son the chance to get out of the home.
