Weather Helps 'Shop and Share' Drive

Grocery shoppers across Kentucky donate items to help victims of domestic abuse.
Shoppers at Krogers and Food Cities across Kentucky helped domestic violence shelters by donating items like toiletries, can goods and school supplies as part of the Fifth Annual 'Shop and Share.'

As shoppers walk into stores they can grab lists of items the shelters are in desperate need of, often products not available at food pantries, and donate the items they buy right there in the store after checkout.

Organizers say the high number of people out shopping on Saturday due to the weather and Super Bowl party preparations, led to a higher number of people in the stores who were able to pickup and an extra item or two and donate to the drive.

The drive ended at 5pm on Saturday, but if you would like to make a donation to the Kentucky Domestic Violence Association Shelters, you can do so by clicking on the link below.
