The Fayette County Coroner's Office has identified the victim of Thursday morning's three car accident on Winchester Road as Cora Kidd, 70, of Lexington.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) of the Lexington Police Department said in its investigative report that Michael B. Mundy, of Winchester, was inbound on Winchester Road and crossed over the center line, sideswiping an outbound Toyota Camry driven by John J. Watkins of Winchester.

The report said Mundy's 2003 Chevy Blazer continued inbound and collided with a Dodge Ram head-on.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, Cora Kidd, died at the scene.

The CRU report said Mundy and his passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to U.K. Hospital.

The CRU report said the driver and passenger of the Camry that was sideswiped were not injured.

The CRU report said the accident happened around 10:28 a.m. near the corner of Bahama Road.

That stretch of Winchester Road was shutdown for five and a half hours while the scene was cleared and investigated.

No charges have been filed, but the investigation continues, according to police.
